Target has a new store policy requiring cashiers to hand-process all coupons in an effort to stop shorting its coupon-using customers. They say they will have new technology in the stores in the next 10 days that will eliminate this processing problem.
I thought it was interesting to read about their "speed-o-meter" devices that tell how quickly the cashiers process each customer. Those devices are being temporarily turned off to allow for hand-processing of coupons and a sincere greeting!
