Target Stores Shorting Customers on Coupons

I saw on HLN Moring Express with Robin Meade this morning a story of Target Stores shorting customers on coupon values.  It stated that Target has known of this "computer glitch" for a few months.  See the attached article on the new story http://www.tradingmarkets.com/news/stock-alert/tgt_target-glitch-shortchanged-coupon-users-for-months-1265356.html

So if using your coupons at Target be sure to watch the cash register closely and make sure you are given full value for each of your coupons.

Target Deals This Week

You can find a listing of the best deals at Target for this week on
Bargains to Bounty at http://www.bargainstobounty.com/target-october-24-30-2010/

Remember you can stack manufacturer coupons with Target store coupons which can be found at Target.com. Also Target gives you $.05 off for each reusable bag you bring in and recently Target will give you 5% off your total bill if you use a Target charge card.

Walgreen Deals This Week

Visit Hip 2 Save at http://hip2save.com/2010/10/walgreens-deals-1024-1030.html to see this week's deals at Walgreens.  Remember that on Hip 2 Save she color codes her deals so deals listed in red are free or almost free.  Also remember to pick up a Walgreens coupon book at the counters and checkouts for store coupons that you can stack with manufacturer coupons to the best deals.  Kris says she buys all her candy at the drug stores for great deals!

Save at Pennzoil

Did you know that you can save $6 on an oil change at the Pennzoil Oil Change service center on Westbay Drive in Saginaw Township by showing your Kroger card? That's where I always take my car for the regular oil change. The guys there are always helpful and will answer any questions. And now I can save a few bucks!

Two inserts in this Sunday paper

There will be two inserts in the papers this Sunday, Smartsource and Red Plum.  Visit the Sunday Coupon Preview website at http://www.sundaycouponpreview.com/ for a complete listing of the coupons included.

Restaurant.com has special 80% off thru October 25

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and pay ONLY $2!  Or a $10 gift certificate for only 80 cents.

Just use promo code PUMPKIN thru 10/25! For a total of just $2, you’ll end up getting a $25 gift certificate! Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What’s that? It’s a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code PUMPKIN—your total will drop to just $24! Wahoo! That means you’re snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

**If your unfamiliar with how Restaurant.com works, then be sure to check out this post at Hip 2 Save.  (Thanks to Hip 2 Save)

I personally have use the Restaurant.com gift certificates at Forbidden City on Bay Road and also Court Street Cafe in Saginaw. They both worked great, no problems at the restaurant, and we enjoyed the food. Just note that each certificate requires that you spend over the amount of the gift certificate (like spend $35 when using the $25 certificate) and also you will be charged an mandatory 18% tip on the whole bill.  Still, it saves you quite a bit!

If you get a gift certificate from Restaurant.com and use it at a local restaurant, let us know about your experience.  We are always wanting to know of good places to eat and get great deals in our area.

Super Sale at Meijer tomorrow and mperks

Meijer

Meijer is having another Super Saturday sale tomorrow starting at 6 a.m.  There is not much in the ad but they have a good deal on Coca-Cola and Pepsi product 2 liter bottles for 88 cents, red seedless grapes for 89 cents, and Jimmy Dean sausage products at 2 for $3. They also have Bounty paper towels 2 roll packet, 2 for $5. Click here to see ad http://meijer.shoplocal.com/meijer/default.aspx?action=entryflash&storeref=43.  These deals can be even better if you have coupons on top of the sale price!

Before you go shopping, register for the mperks electronic coupons for Meijer at http://www2.meijer.com/mperks/Welcome.aspx.  You need a cell phone number to register and they are electronic coupons kind of like at Kroger.com. With the mperks, you go on line and add the coupons you want to your cell phone number. Then when checking out at  the store, tell the cashier you have mperks and your cell phone number.  Or in self-checkout push the tab for mperks and enter your cell phone number and you will receive the discounts.  We believe these mperks will work the same as the Kroger ecoupons and can be stacked with manufacturer coupons to greater deals.  If you find any different, please let us know.

Happy shopping tomorrow!  ; )

Kroger Store sets limits on printable coupons

While I was at Kroger store on State Street last night I confirmed with the Customer Service Desk that they do not accept internet printable coupons valued over $1.00.  That means any $2.00 coupon or those Kraft "Save $5 off 5 items" coupons will not be accepted at Krogers.

I had used my Kraft $5 off 5 coupon at Meijer. They checked them in their "counterfeit coupon" file and then let me use them. I am so stocked up on cream cheese and cheese blocks.

If you have not printed the Kraft $5 of 5 coupon, you can find it at http://brands.kraftfoods.com/kraftcheese/index.html.  Use it to buy 5 Kraft cheese or dairy products and Kraft will donate 5 meals to Feeding America.
